The iPhone 8 Is Coming. Here's What We Know So Far.
The iPhone 7 has only been out for a few months, but talk about the iPhone 8 is in the works. Recently, The Wall Street Journal reported that the company is testing up to ten different prototypes for the 2017 iPhone.
Here are the biggest rumors we've heard so far:
#1 You'll charge it wirelessly:
Apple's AirPods were just the first step in the company's mission to get rid of wires. Several sources, including Bloomberg, have reported that Apple is currently testing wireless charging tech, and that it could likely appear in the next iPhone.
#2 The Home button is going:
In an effort to increase screen size without actually increasing the size of the device, Apple's reportedly getting rid the 'Home button' as we know it. In its place, there will likely be a 'virtual' home button positioned on the screen.
#3 It may have eye and face scanning technology:
One rumor, by a leak from a Chinese chip manufacturer, states the next iPhone will feature iris-scanning technology. That means you may be able to unlock your phone, or pay for things, just by looking into a camera on the screen.
Other rumors include: The screen being curved, an LCD screen in favor of an OLED one, and it will be available in three different methods - a 'premium' model that features a curved OLED screen, and then two others (possibly 4.7inch and 5.5inch sizes) that have a lesser-quality curved LCD display.
